1966 ad for Cole swimwear. This collection was named Cole Escape with descriptions such as “uninhibited colors and pagan prints”; “alluring but not alarming”. Much was made of the materials which were cutting-edge then, and we take for granted now: Firestone nylon and Spandelle spandex.
